Diagnostic Development Engineer (Req #. AO07120) AOptix Technologies is looking for a contributor to the
cutting edge AOptix Technologies Standoff Iris Advanced Biometrics product, who will be involved in developing diagnostics software to validate the electronics
hardware prototypes. Strong organization skills and an attention to details are a must. The successful test engineer must be self-directed and able to work
cross-functionally within engineering in a fast paced environment working on multiple tasks.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Specify, design and develop software for automated testing of medium volume production of PCBA assemblies, subsystems and final product.
- Develop software under Microsoft .Net and LabView to characterize the hardware and capture the subsystem performance.
- Prepare and maintain test plans & generate documentation of test results.
- Procure test equipment and build component test stations.
- Able to work independently as an individual contributor and contribute to timely and successful product development cycles.
- Possess excellent cross-functional teamwork and communication skills, plus relevant knowledge in ECO processing, configuration management and revision control.
Requirements:

Senior Hardware Design Engineer - Communications (Req #. AO07128) AOptix Technologies is looking for a contributor to
the cutting edge AOptix Technologies Free Space Optical Communication product, who will be involved in performing embedded system, sensor, and control hardware
designs. The successful candidate will perform requirements gathering, design of DSP/FPGA based embedded systems, with interfaces to photo-sensor arrays, high
voltage amplifiers and control modules. Strong organization skills and an attention to details are a must. The successful Sr. hardware design engineer must be
self-directed and able to work cross-functionally within engineering in a fast paced environment working on multiple tasks.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Define technical specification; including system architect design, trade-off analysis, planning, design verification and qualification.
- Perform DSP and FPGA circuit design and conduct electronics testing of various sensors and control sub-systems.
- Assist in the system reliability validations, procurement and product manufacturing functions.

Senior Optical Engineer (Req #. AO07126)
The Optical Engineer will develop and prototype the optical system
for our laser communications product line which targets government
as well as commercial customers. The successful candidate is also
expected to provide guidance on the integration of the optical
design into the end to end communications solution. We are looking
for an individual who is dedicated, articulate, energetic, and
results oriented team player with positive attitude and excellent
people skills.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Develop and prototype optical systems utilizing various optical elements and sensors.
- Write detailed optical system specifications and coordinate with optics vendors.
- Align, analyze, tolerance, and troubleshoot prototype optical systems for collimation, illumination, stray-light, filtering, and/or light collection.
- Design test methodologies for system level validation and component test.
- Understand and access technical trade-offs and recommend architecture/design direction to reduce cost and manufacturing complexity.
- Aid as part of the NPI team in releasing the product to production.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as optical engineer working with optical or laser based technology and good understanding of an optical communication link.
- Security clearance or US citizenship.
- M.S. in engineering, a Ph.D. is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and familiar with optical design tools such as ZMAX, OSLO or Code-V.
- Hand on experience in aligning complex optical systems.

Biometrics Program Manager (Req #. AO07144)
Seeking for an Engineering program manager who will be responsible for managing the Biometrics product development project with in the engineering organization.
The candidate must be articulate, energetic, and results oriented with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
Specific Accountabilities:
The individual should possess excellent personal leadership skills in a matrix environment, interacting closely with engineering functional managers,
Product Marketing management, R&D, and operations. He/she must have a very good understanding of product development processes and have prior
experience delivering products from concept to manufacturing. The candidate will fully understand the technical scope and complexity of the project
in order to help evaluate tradeoffs and recommend project direction. He/she will own the project schedule, planning and day-to-day coordination for the
project. The candidate will also be the main engineering interface to manufacturing/operations and finance department. The candidate will conduct
regular project reviews with the management team where the status of project progress and execution will be tracked according to functionality, schedule
and budget. The successful individual must be a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and can multi-task and prioritize engineering development
work based on product requirements.

Senior Software Test Engineer (Req #. AO07130) The successful candidate will be a member of the software team building the laser communication system. Duties will include developing test automation scripts, simulation test tools, evaluating third-party tools, writing test plan, writing test cases, installing and maintaining test lab and performing manual testing. Candidate must have involved in the full life-cycle delivery of large-scale technically challenging and complex mission critical systems. The candidate is an individual contributor but can lead a small team as the group grows. He/she is organized, dedicated, articulate, energetic, and results oriented team player with positive attitude and excellent technical and people skills.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Hands-on hardware setup and configuration of end-to-end systems.
- Design and develop the test automation framework, functional test scripts, and automation testing tools.
- Perform manual functional, load and stress tests, file and validate bugs.
- Setup and maintain test servers and equipments including TestLink and Bugzilla servers.
- Write test plan, test cases, and test report.
- Responsible for testing both hardware and software.
Requirements:
- Experience with building automation test tools for both hardware controls and software; prior experience in testing network appliances and specialized hardware equipments.
